This is an excellent story to tell as a puppet play for young children - the carrot making it’s way through all the friends and back is so good … also when children see an animal (or anything/one!) being kindly tucked into bed it is deeply comforting. With a puppet play you can really do this with attention and slowly which is lovely for the child’s nervous system and sense of being cared for and safe. I use white roving felting wool for the snow and tuck the animals in each of their homes under the snow.
