Around times of hormonal transition - puberty, postpartum and especially peri-menopause - our bodies can start to change in new ways even though we may be eating and exercising the same ... increased weight in general for some and for others same weight but shift in body shape and fat distribution - more weight abdominally often.
If energy, mood, sleep, cravings, sex drive or ability to handle stress changes with this I notice most women don’t realize that it’s all connected and that at its root is an imbalance in hormones.
Exercise and nutrition are foundational in restoring balance but not in an ‘exercise more, eat less way’. Nope this won’t work here and causes needless suffering. 🙁
